About this role

AVI Foodsystems, a nationally respected food service company founded in 1960, is seeking a full-time Security Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Warren, OH. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of physical security to protect our facilities, employees, and assets.

Day-to-day, you will manage access control systems, surveillance (CCTV), alarms, and perimeter security to ensure facilities are properly secured against unauthorized access. You will also oversee security system installation, upgrades, and maintenance, and coordinate with IT on system integration and cybersecurity alignment.

You will work closely with leadership, loss prevention, IT, HR, and law enforcement to communicate security expectations across the organization. This includes creating and enforcing security policies, coordinating security awareness training, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and improve security operations within a trusted and growing company. You will track metrics, prepare reports for leadership, and recommend improvements to enhance security effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement or military (3-5+ years)
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws
  • Proficiency with access control systems, video surveillance systems, alarm and intrusion detection systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of industry standards, OSHA, and security best practices
