Coventry Building Society Arena is home to unforgettable experiences for conferences, exhibitions, meetings, sport, music and live entertainment. It attracts 1.2 million visitors a year and hosts over 600 events. The team is committed to providing the best experience and service for all visitors.

You will work 4 on, 4 off pattern for 35 hours per week as an SIA licensed Door Supervisor and CCTV Operative. The Security Team provides a highly visible, efficient, friendly, proactive and responsive security service to the venue. This creates a safe environment for staff, contractors, clients, visitors and the public.

Work as part of a larger operations team and a small security team with minimum supervision from the Venue Security Supervisor. Plan and prioritise tasks to ensure security, safety and welfare within agreed timescales. Demonstrate initiative in managing priorities and making effective decisions.

Assist in protecting venue property and community against crimes, trespass and nuisance. Respond to calls for assistance across premises to deal with intruders, crime and disorder. Support operations during matchdays and events on management's direction.

Requirements

  • Qualified as SIA licensed Door Supervisor
  • Qualified as SIA licensed CCTV Operative
  • Strong communication skills
  • Act with tact and diplomacy at all times
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative in arranging work priorities
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and make effective decisions for venue security
  • Basic awareness of security options available
  • Responsible for ensuring security and safety of venue premises and contents

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the security of the venue providing a highly visible, efficient, proactive and responsive security service
  • Check working practices and crime prevention, advising to ensure security and safety of staff, contractors, clients, visitors and public
  • Respond to calls for assistance across venue premises to deal with intruders, crime and disorder
  • Support operations during matchdays and events on direction of management
  • Plan and prioritise tasks received via Venue Security Supervisor with minimum supervision
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Accurately record incident logs
  • Assist in protection of venue property and community against crimes, trespass and nuisance
