About this role
This role is responsible for patrolling all areas of the property and assisting guests with room access while monitoring Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. The officer conducts daily physical hazard inspections and locks property entrances when required.
Day-to-day duties include responding to accidents, contacting EMS or administering first aid/CPR as needed, and assisting guests and employees during emergency situations. The officer also defuses guest and employee disturbances, calls for outside assistance when necessary, and completes incident reports to document all Security and Loss Prevention related incidents.
The officer works closely with property management and local emergency services to maintain a safe and secure environment. This role requires maintaining confidentiality of all Security and Loss Prevention reports and documents, releasing information only to authorized individuals.
This position offers the opportunity to develop investigative skills by conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and interviewing relevant parties. The role also provides experience in handling a wide range of security situations within a premier hospitality environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance
- Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats and enter work-related information using computers
- Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging
Responsibilities

- Escort unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation
- Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary and daily activity report
