About this role

The Security Guard monitors the facility and approves access to visitors, guests, and employees entering the building. Responsibilities are divided among Main Gate Guards, Patrol Post Guards, and AOA Guards. Each position maintains security across parking areas, gates, and hangars at the aviation facility.

Main Gate Guards approve access through the main gate, sign in deliveries, notify patrol guards, and monitor parking lots. They request picture IDs from visitors, issue leasehold badges, check badge readers, and inspect new employee toolboxes. These duties ensure controlled entry and prevent unauthorized access.

Patrol Post Guards oversee all external parking areas, enforce designated parking, and monitor Shipping/Receiving during gate operations. They staff turnstiles during shift changes and breaks, and patrol the second floor after hours to lock doors. AOA Guards control hangar traffic, patrol via golf cart, challenge entrants for ID, log visitors, and verify badges before the red line.

All guards record work time, comply with AAR Aircraft Services policies and safety procedures, and protect company assets. They attend scheduled training and handle assigned tasks. Responsibilities

  • Approve access to visitors, guests, and employees through the main gate
  • Sign in deliveries and notify patrol guard before allowing access to Shipping/Receiving area
  • Monitor access to east parking lot and on-base parking area
  • Request picture ID from visitors and issue leasehold badges
  • Patrol parking areas and ensure vehicles are parked in designated spots
  • Control access and traffic in the hangar while challenging persons or vehicles for ID
  • Log all deliveries and visitors entering or exiting hangar area
  • Record work time, comply with company policies and safety procedures, and attend training
