MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies built on teamwork, respect, and integrity, is seeking a Court Security Officer to join our team at a Melbourne Court. This role is critical to ensuring the safety and security of court staff, visitors, and the public within a dynamic legal environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting security screenings for court staff and visitors, operating security systems including metal detectors and x-ray machines to identify potential risks or prohibited items. You will also perform scans and thorough bag searches when necessary, monitor courtrooms during hearings, and respond promptly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies.

We are seeking candidates with a readiness, confidence, and assertiveness to manage challenging situations, coupled with excellent de-escalation skills and previous experience in security or a related field. As a Court Security Officer, you will provide a high standard of customer service to court staff and visitors while maintaining a vigilant and professional presence.

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Valid Victorian Security Licence with the control room subcategory
  • Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • Willing to undergo a National Police Check
  • 24/7 Availability
  • Previous experience in security or a related field (highly desirable)
