The supervisor conducts several Daily Security Post Inspections, written audits, and reports any suspicious or unethical activity.

This supervisor leads a team of security guards, ensuring alertness and compliance through daily inspections. They regularly interview Director-level management and co-workers to verify officer performance, with immediate corrective action for any deficiencies. The work environment is a dynamic warehousing and distribution facility that handles end-to-end logistics.

Requirements

  • Experience supervising a team of security personnel.
  • Proficiency with DVR and video surveillance systems.
  • Ability to conduct written security audits and safety inspections.
  • Strong observational skills to detect irregularities such as fire hazards or security breaches.
  • Ability to enforce rules and warn violators professionally.
  • Familiarity with building safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Capability to patrol facilities for extended periods, including docks and yards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of security personnel, including guards.
  • Patrol buildings and grounds of the establishment, docks, and worksite, logging information.
  • Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
  • Check DVR Video Recorders daily to ensure live pictures and 24/7 recording; report and coordinate maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct written Security Officer and Building Safety Audits weekly/monthly per shift accountability.
  • Report any suspicious activity or unethical behavior among co-workers, clients, and contractors.
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and register at watch stations to record inspection trips.
