About this role

The Security Guard monitors the facility and approves access to visitors, guests, and employees entering the building. Responsibilities vary by post including main gate, patrol, and AOA areas. Guards ensure secure entry protocols across the site.

Main Gate Guards approve access through the main gate, sign in deliveries, notify patrol guards, and monitor parking areas. They request picture ID, issue leasehold badges, check badge readers, and inspect new employee toolboxes. Patrol Guards oversee all external parking and shipping/receiving zones.

Patrol Guards ensure vehicles park in designated areas, cover turnstiles during shifts and breaks, and patrol the second floor after hours. AOA Guards control hangar access and traffic via golf cart, challenge entrants for ID, and log all deliveries and visitors. All guards coordinate during gate operations and employee movements.

All guards record work time, comply with AAR Aircraft Services - Miami policies and safety procedures, and preserve company assets. They attend scheduled training and perform other supervisor-assigned tasks. Core competencies include dependability, motivation, communication, analytical skills, and strong judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Approve access to visitors, guests and employees through main gate
  • Sign in deliveries at main gate and notify patrol guard before allowing access to Shipping/Receiving area
  • Monitor access to east parking lot and on base parking area
  • Request proper picture ID from visitors and issue leasehold badges
  • Patrol all parking areas outside the facility and ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas
  • Control access and traffic in the hangar and patrol east/west sides riding golf cart
  • Challenge persons or vehicles entering hangar area and log deliveries and visitors
  • Record work time and comply with all company policies and safety procedures
