Paladin Security is seeking an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to lead our team at North York General Hospital's Finch site. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, healthcare professionals, and hospital staff.

You will serve as the key link between frontline security personnel and hospital leadership, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Daily duties include providing leadership and coaching, coordinating shift schedules, overseeing security operations, and conducting facility patrols to identify risks.

You will foster a positive and accountable team culture while working closely with the Client Service Manager and hospital representatives. As the primary point of contact for operational concerns, you will ensure adherence to all hospital, client, and company security procedures and conduct security audits and inspections.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
  • Valid Ontario G-Class Driver's License.
  • Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and complete immunization records including Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Two-step TB skin testing.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Willingness to complete N95 mask-fit testing during onboarding.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to security personnel.
  • Conduct coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate shift schedules and staffing requirements.
  • Oversee daily security operations, maintain a visible presence, and conduct facility patrols to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, lead investigations, and prepare comprehensive incident reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all hospital, client, and company security procedures through audits and inspections.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational concerns and work closely with the Client Service Manager and hospital representatives.
