About this role

This role ensures that Security Officers effectively patrol the Gaming Enterprise Division (GED) to maintain the safety and security of guests, team members, and property. You will be responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels to create a safe environment on every shift.

Day-to-day duties include patrolling the property to identify potential security or safety hazards, taking corrective action, and conducting shift briefings to inform officers of pertinent information. You will also conduct investigations, collect evidence, and prepare detailed reports on incidents involving guests, team members, and the facility.

As a supervisor, you will act as On Scene Commander during emergency procedures, utilizing established guides to handle fires, evacuations, robbery attempts, and life-threatening situations. You will also prepare schedules, adjust staffing levels based on business conditions, and ensure a strong communication link between management and officers.

This position offers the opportunity to mentor, coach, and develop Security Officers through performance feedback and professional development plans. You will participate in the search and selection process for new officers and help design training lesson plans to support continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport materials and/or equipment on a frequent basis up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach, pull, kneel, squat, twist, and bend for duties.
  • Must be able to travel to other casino properties as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as guest service standards.
  • Enforces performance standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with the GED’s expectations and within scope of authority.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Security Officers effectively patrol the GED to maintain the safety and security of people and property.
  • Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifies potential security and/or safety hazards, and takes corrective action or reports them.
  • Conducts briefings at the start of a shift to inform Security Officers of pertinent information regarding the job or the GED.
  • Conducts investigations and collects evidence, as necessary.
  • Prepares and/or requests reports on incidents involving guests, team members, and the facility, reviewing them for completeness and accuracy.
  • Acts as On Scene Commander during emergency procedures, utilizing GED emergency action guides.
  • Supervises and develops Security Officers by mentoring, coaching, and providing performance feedback, and participates in the search and selection process.
