About this role

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Security Manager to join the team in Herndon, VA or Arlington, VA. You will own the security posture for programs that matter, protecting Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral classified information.

In this role, you will oversee compliance assessments, security inquiries, implementation of controls, and continuous process improvement. You will build and execute strategic plans, secure resources, guide technical suppliers, and set operational goals while inspiring and developing a high-performing team.

You will collaborate with customers and stakeholders across the enterprise, approve technical approaches and products, and shape the policies and procedures that keep sensitive programs safe. This position requires a leader who thrives on responsibility, technical leadership, and driving measurable results in a dynamic security environment.

As an Industrial Security Manager, you will manage and ensure the flawless execution of classified security programs at the SCI and other restricted or proprietary levels. You will also study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company program operations, obtaining rulings and interpretations from government agencies as needed.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Programs

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure the flawless execution of classified security programs at the SCI and other restricted or proprietary levels and achieve all operational goals
  • Lead and mentor employees, perform security administration activities to protect information from unauthorized disclosure
  • Conduct security inquiries and oversee compliance assessments implementing security controls to protect personnel, information, and equipment
  • Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company program operations
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Assist with team members' professional development and growth
