About this role

The Security Ambassador ensures the safety and security of guests, team members and company assets while delivering excellent customer service. The role maintains a safe and comfortable environment with a positive can-do attitude at all times. Highest-level guest service remains the constant focus for both external and internal guests.

Daily work centers on greeting guests with a smile, checking IDs, and explaining casino rules and code of conduct. Officers monitor passage through gaming and restaurant areas, control valet traffic, and operate the dispatch office using two-way radio. They also assist with disputes, intoxicated subjects, and medical or fire emergencies.

Team members work together to meet the CLEAN, SAFE, FAST, FRIENDLY and FUN service standards throughout every shift. Officers coordinate with surveillance, supervisors and management when unusual events or incidents occur. The environment requires constant alertness in a fast-paced, interruptive setting.

Officers gain exposure to casino operations, security dispatch, and guest-service protocols while obtaining required gaming licensing. Consistent performance supports continued advancement within the security department and broader property operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to write reports and read and understand memos
  • Ability to use a telephone properly and operate two-way radio
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment
  • Good customer service skills with ability to remain alert at all times
  • Must have a valid driver's license and dexterity to perform duties during emergencies
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the gaming license as determined by the State Gaming Control Board

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a smile and warm welcome while checking IDs to refuse entry to anyone under 21 or carrying prohibited items
  • Explain casino rules, regulations and code of conduct to guests
  • Assist with customer disputes, intoxicated subjects, criminal matters and traffic control
  • Respond to medical or fire emergencies and notify supervisor, surveillance or Casino Manager of unusual events
  • Operate the Security Dispatch Office and communicate via two-way radio and telephone
  • Man the Employee/Visitor Entrance, maintain visitor logs and monitor passage in gaming and restaurant areas
  • Control traffic in valet and parking areas and write first reports of injury
  • Assist in transporting money, chips, tokens and markers while reporting safety hazards
