About this role

Under general supervision, the Safety and Security Officer patrols assigned territory to protect patrons and property. The role combines access control, emergency response, and loss prevention at the venue.

Daily work includes monitoring CCTV, conducting screenings, verifying emergency exits, and manning the Operations Center for visitor sign-ins and equipment issuance. Officers also raise and lower flags and perform parking enforcement duties.

Work occurs both indoors and outdoors with motor vehicle operation, long periods of standing, and possible exposure to physical confrontations during events. Officers assist other departments to meet event expectations.

Training is provided on site. The position requires basic computer skills for incident reporting and electronic filing while enforcing company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 1 year experience
Solid Communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer knowledge
Criminal Justice Education Preferred but not required
Knowledge and training in First Aid/ CPR preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
Provide customer service to guests, vendors, participants, and colleagues
Monitor, dispatch and respond to fire alarms and other emergencies
Conduct patrols to ensure the safety of guests, vendors, participants, staff, and property
Provide access control and monitor CCTV
Conduct screenings to prevent entry of prohibited and dangerous items
Respond to disturbances and escort disruptive individuals off premises when necessary
Generate and complete incident reports
