About this role

Altera is seeking an experienced Regional Security Manager, APAC, to lead corporate security operations across the Asia Pacific region. This role is responsible for protecting employees, facilities, operations, and company assets through the management of physical security programs, crisis management, business continuity, investigations, security technology, and regional risk mitigation initiatives.

The Regional Security Manager will oversee security operations across Bangalore, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Penang. The position requires close coordination with business leaders to maintain consistent standards while adapting to local conditions and threat environments.

Day-to-day work involves managing guarding operations and vendors, supporting access control, CCTV, and visitor management systems, and leading crisis management and emergency response activities. The role also includes conducting risk assessments and coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency responders.

This position partners with Facilities, HR, Legal, IT, Procurement, and Operations teams to support supply chain security, investigations, workplace violence prevention, and office expansions. Strong leadership is needed to manage regional budgets, vendor performance, and security system implementations across multiple countries.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or related field.
  • Experience managing physical security operations across multiple sites or countries.
  • Good knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, visitor management systems, and investigations.
  • Experience supporting crisis management and business continuity programs.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support physical security operations across APAC offices including Bangalore, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Penang.
  • Manage guarding operations, vendors, and regional security service providers.
  • Support access control, CCTV, visitor management systems, and other security technologies.
  • Lead crisis management, emergency response, and business continuity coordination activities.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies based on business and regional threat conditions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams to support supply chain security initiatives.
  • Support investigations, workplace violence prevention, travel security, and incident response activities.
  • Manage regional security operational budgets, reporting, and vendor performance.
