About this role
Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Operations Manager to ensure successful delivery of security services across assigned client sites. This central leader oversees frontline hiring, staffing, scheduling, training, and operational compliance while serving as a critical support and escalation point for employees and clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the selection and placement process for new security professionals and first-line supervisors, creating and modifying post schedules in WinTeam to ensure adequate coverage, and maintaining regular proactive contact with staff to ensure effective utilization and proper training. The Operations Manager also runs weekly payroll, resolves discrepancies, and conducts disciplinary sessions as needed.
This role champions high-quality service, workforce stability, and operational consistency by proactively addressing performance concerns, maintaining contractual staffing levels, and building strong client relationships. Requirements
- Experience in security operations management or a related leadership role
- Proficiency with scheduling and payroll systems such as WinTeam
- Strong ability to manage staffing levels and control overtime through effective scheduling
- Demonstrated skill in employee relations, including conducting disciplinary sessions and performance evaluations
- Knowledge of contract compliance and post requirements in a security services environment
- Ability to maintain accurate records and conduct weekly audits of timekeeping records
Responsibilities
- Manage the selection and placement process for new security professionals and first-line supervisors
- Design and implement career development and performance improvement plans
- Create, modify, and manage post schedules in WinTeam to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Maintain regular proactive contact with Security Professionals to ensure effective utilization and proper training
- Run weekly payroll according to company procedures and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
- Conduct disciplinary and counseling sessions with Security Professionals in a proactive and professional manner
- Act as a Company representative in unemployment hearings, workers' compensation hearings, and other liability matters
