About this role
As an Assistant Shift Manager for Security at MGM Resorts International, you will oversee security operations during assigned shifts, ensuring effective staffing and performance management among personnel. Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with state and company regulations to promote a secure environment for guests and employees. Manage staff schedules, conduct training and evaluations, respond to emergencies, and serve as a liaison with external agencies.
Lead and mentor a team of security personnel at the property, supporting operations through interviews, hiring, and schedule creation. Implement procedures, train and evaluate staff, enforce policies, and provide coaching while planning assignments and overseeing station coverage. Respond promptly to emergencies and threats to ensure safety of guests and staff.
Assist management with onsite investigations, coordinating and supervising as necessary, and document incidents for proper escalation and resolution. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior relevant experience working in direct security in a similar resort/casino environment
- Law enforcement and/or military experience preferred
- Prior supervisory, leadership, and/or team leader experience in a related field preferred
