At Raytheon, Program Security Managers serve as embedded security professionals and decision authorities, facilitating front-line business security services. They write policies and procedures, coordinate with government accrediting authorities, and prepare security assessments, investigative, and analytical reports for senior leadership.
This role promotes regulatory compliance with Department of Defense security regulations through effective training and influence. The Program Security Manager advises program leadership on multiple efficient options within the security policy space, while interacting with senior peers from Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Engineering.
The position directly supports the leaders of Sub Strategic Business Units within Land and Air Defense Systems, reporting to the GSS Associate Director. Self-motivated individuals make independent decisions, research security explanations, and develop training and operational plans. Familiarity with ITAR and export control procedures is essential.
Long-range planning to meet global security compliance and Annual Operating Plan goals involves interacting with internal and external security professionals and government customers. The Program Security Manager represents GSS leadership, executing strategy to advocate a partnership that promotes positive and proactive relationships.
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make independent decisions and research security explanations from documentation, instructions, and guides.
- Experience in writing and developing training, operational plans, and directives.
- Familiarity with ITAR and export control procedures.
- Ability to coordinate with government accrediting authorities and customers.
- Knowledge of NISPOM Rule 32 CFR Part 117 and DoD security directives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct long-range planning to meet global security compliance requirements and Annual Operating Plan goals, including interacting with internal and external security professionals and government customer organizations.
- Manage contract security reviews to ensure requirements are consistent with the NISPOM Rule 32 CFR Part 117 and other DoD directives as specified in DD254 and contract Statements of Work.
- Represent GSS leadership and execute strategy and tactics to advocate a partnership with the customer community that promotes a positive, healthy, and proactive customer relationship.
- Assist program leadership and other security managers in resolving program security issues directly with government customers, subcontractors, RTX teammates, and internal program personnel.
- Assist local facility security managers in solving routine security matters at various local locations to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Travel as required to provide necessary security support.
- Advise and assist program leadership and staff on multiple efficient options within the security policy space, and write policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
