About this role

Paragon Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, seeks an OCONUS Bodyguard for a government contract at the Moscow Embassy. The role involves providing close protection operations to the Chief of Mission (COM). Ideal candidates will handle high-stakes security duties abroad.

Daily responsibilities include protecting COM and driving armored or unarmored vehicles per the close protection plan. Bodyguards maintain logbooks, administrative files, and man static guard posts as directed by the RSO. They also conduct advances for COM movements to ensure safety.

The work environment features an office setting with computer screens, extensive keyboard and mouse use, and multi-line telephones. Employees must maintain constant mental alertness amid prolonged sitting, standing, or walking. Exposure aligns with modern office demands at an embassy post.

This position supports essential embassy security without DOT safety-sensitive requirements. Opportunities involve applying close protection expertise in a dynamic international context. Bodyguards contribute to operational integrity through precise reporting and procedural adherence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years applicable experience with a minimum of one (1) year in close protection assignments
  • Experience providing close protection services
  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record in the past 3 years
  • Able to use a computer including all common office management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Experienced in communications and radio use and procedures
  • Level S3/R3 proficiency in Russian for Bodyguard/Translators
  • Ability to maintain constant state of mental alertness

Responsibilities

  • Provide protection to COM and drive armored and unarmored vehicles as required by the close protection plan
  • Maintain all logbooks and administrative files as required by policy and the RSO
  • Man static guard posts as required by RSO
  • Conduct advances of the chief of mission (COM) movements
  • Prepare written reports and logs to include security survey reports
  • Use communications and radio procedures during operations
