About this role
This is a part-time position responsible for safeguarding, patrolling, and monitoring facility. Responsible for checking and documenting both inbound and outbound drivers/trucks for temperature, trailer condition and load. Monitoring temperatures on staged loads ensures facility perimeter is secure.
Daily duties require checking in visitors and third party truck drivers against schedules. For inbound trucks, container number, setpoint temperature, seal numbers and vehicle condition are tracked while outbound trucks have driver paperwork, seal numbers, container number and temperature setpoint verified.
Facility security involves monitoring cameras to ensure premises remain secure and immediately notifying management of concerns. Walking the exterior of the facility and opening and closing gates at specified times maintains controlled access throughout each shift.
Work occurs in varying environmental conditions from heat, rain and cold. Accurate documentation of all required information occurs using Excel and Microsoft Word while independent decisions are made on allowing trucks onto company property.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of work history
- Ability to sit, stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to accurately review documentation and enter information into Excel and Microsoft Word documents
- Ability to effectively communicate with visitors, truck drivers, and other team members while watching video monitors
- Able to work in varying environmental conditions from heat, rain, cold, etc.
Responsibilities
- Check in visitors and third party truck drivers, verifying schedules, container numbers, setpoint temperatures, seal numbers and vehicle condition.
- Verify driver paperwork on outbound trucks, confirming seal numbers, container number, type and temperature setpoint within 10 degrees of TBOL.
- Check and document temperatures of staged loads to ensure setpoint and actual temperatures match or remain within 10 degrees.
- Monitor facility cameras to ensure premises are secure and immediately notify management of any concerns.
- Walk exterior of facility and open and close facility gates at specified times.
- Notify supervision of any issues with arriving trucks and ensure facility perimeter is secure.
