About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Corporate Security Guard to join our Corporate Security team in Salt Lake City. This role focuses on safeguarding the company's premises, assets, employees, and visitors while controlling access to the facility.

In this position, you will patrol and police the premises to protect property and personnel, respond to alarm system maintenance needs, and resolve security situations as they arise. You will also complete required daily logs and reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs.

You will interact with other security guards, internal and external customers, Security Response Center analysts, and vendors to support basic security responsibilities. You will work closely with internal groups to ensure escalation guidelines are followed according to written procedures.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a structured corporate security environment with a leading financial institution. You will receive regular direction from Corporate Security agents and supervisors while providing quality customer service.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Corporate Security, surveillance and alarm experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Valid Security Officer license
  • 21+ years of age
  • Armed license for a 9mm firearm (desired)
  • Experience with Access Control Systems and CCTV Monitor (desired)
  • CPR / First Aid Certification (desired)
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (desired)
  • Customer service experience (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Security functional area to safeguard company's premises, assets, employees, and visitors
  • Guard entrances and exits to prevent theft, vandalism, intrusion, or natural hazards
  • Control vehicular and pedestrian access to the facility in compliance with established procedures
  • Perform routine customer support, operational and security tasks, patrol, and police premises
  • Complete required daily logs and reports
  • Respond to and resolve alarm system maintenance needs and security situations that arise in the workplace
  • Interact with other security guards, internal and external customers, Security Response Center analysts, and vendors
  • Initiate work orders, facilitate equipment repairs with vendors, and document the resolution process
