About this role

This position is responsible for properly executing security duties on assigned shift to protect the life and property of guests, associates, and company assets at Pearl River Resort. Officers work under the Choctaw Gaming Commission Regulations and internal controls to ensure a safe environment.

Day-to-day duties include generating written reports on security incidents, rendering basic first aid, and interacting with guests and associates to ensure their safety. Officers also act as dispatchers during emergencies, coordinate solutions, and inform outside agencies of unusual or suspicious situations.

Officers operate company vehicles as directed, ensure safe transportation of company moneys and gaming tokens, and assist in slot and table games drops to protect assets. The role requires observing player actions and associate procedures for irregularities and exceptions.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic resort environment with a focus on guest service and safety. Officers are held accountable for the accuracy of departmental records and are expected to maintain a consistent attendance record while promoting a maximum level of guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or above
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to identify potential safety hazards and report them appropriately
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with guests and associates

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with Choctaw Gaming Commission Regulations, internal controls, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Generate written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, associates, and the facility
  • Render basic first aid to guests and associates as required
  • Interact, escort, and observe guests and associates to ensure their safety and protection
  • Act as a dispatcher during emergency situations and coordinate solutions
  • Operate company vehicles as directed and ensure safe transportation of company moneys and gaming tokens
  • Assist in slot drop and table games drop to protect assets
  • Accept identification from persons appearing under legal age to ensure compliance with gaming regulations
