About this role

The Security Officer performs routine security work in protecting district personnel, students, visitors and volunteers from fire, traffic, and other personal safety hazards. This position is essential for maintaining a safe environment across school campuses in the Amphitheater Public Schools district.

Daily duties include patrolling school buildings and grounds to detect and prevent hazards, monitoring entrances, and enforcing traffic and parking regulations. Officers respond to alarms and incidents, and assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies.

Security Officers work closely with school administrators and local law enforcement to coordinate safety efforts. They are part of a dedicated team focused on preventing hazards and ensuring a secure learning environment.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED
  • At least six months of work experience in the police or security field
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of basic security and safety protocols
