About this role

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking an Armed Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment at a Loves Travel Stop in Dallas, TX. This role requires a valid Texas Security License and your own personal firearm, such as a 9mm or .45 semi-auto.

Your day-to-day will involve actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations and preserving order while enforcing regulations for personnel, visitors, and the area. You must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time during the assigned shifts.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Texas Security License in hand to be considered
  • Must have your own personal firearm (e.g., 9mm, .45 semi-auto)
  • Must have prior experience as an Armed Security Guard
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring the premises
  • Patrol a variety of locations, including the Loves Travel Stop site
  • Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area
  • Remain vigilant by seeing, hearing, and evaluating potential risks or incidents
  • Notice and report improprieties or safety concerns to maintain integrity
  • Stand and/or walk for long periods of time during assigned shifts
