The Event Security Guard II assigns, directs, and trains security guards while monitoring performance. Uphold company standards and enforce compliance with patrons and staff.

Oversee door and gate screening staff conducting bag checks, walkthrough magnetometers, x-ray machines, and hand-held metal detectors. Verify event credentials for access to restricted areas at both venues. All personnel must obtain a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License within 90 days.

Directly supervise part-time Event Security Guard I staff during events. Foster an inclusive culture living values of Integrity, Success, and Caring among 1K+ employees. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoors in varying weather.

Conduct event briefings to prepare guards with necessary training and information. Respond to suspicious activity, emergencies, and issues like fighting or disorderly conduct. Demonstrate efficient time management and address policy misalignments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory, management, and/or leadership experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of security
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a State Security Level II non-commissioned license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of how to operate a walkthrough magnetometer and x-ray machines
  • Able to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, overnight, and holidays
  • Must work minimum of 70% of events each month at both Frost Bank Center and Toyota Field
  • Able to work outdoor events in hot, cold, wet, or windy conditions

Responsibilities

  • Assign, direct, and train security guards regarding assignments
  • Monitor and evaluate work performance of guards
  • Oversee door/gate screening staff including bag checks, walkthrough magnetometers, x-ray machines, and hand-held metal detectors
  • Verify event credentials access to restricted areas at Frost Bank Center and Toyota Field
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, guest complaints, and emergencies
  • Respond immediately to fighting, disorderly conduct, excessive alcohol use, smoking, and abusive language
  • Conduct event briefings to prepare assigned guards for shifts
  • Address situations with Event Security Guard I staff out of alignment with policies
