About this role

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and completion of the Security Department’s staff assigned tasks in a timely and responsible manner. This position monitors the Chinook Winds facility, property, and money handling areas to ensure the security of customers, staff, and assets on assigned shifts.

Daily operations include providing enforcement to Chinook Winds policies, NIGC, Tribal policies, state compact, and Tribal gaming regulations. The supervisor identifies and reports security issues to the Department Director while providing recommendations regarding department training needs.

Team leadership requires managing employees during the shift, assigning duties and work areas, and ensuring professional standards of behavior and customer care are enforced. The role maintains effective communication within the team and ensures complete knowledge of Security Department policies and procedures.

Opportunities include participating in the development and evaluation of goals, objectives, programs, budgets, and policies. The supervisor may serve as backup to the Security Director and handles personnel actions in coordination with department management and Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Customer oriented with ability to take care of customers’ needs while following company procedures

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all aspects of daily operations of the Security Department
  • Monitors facility, property, and money handling areas to ensure security of customers, staff, and assets
  • Provides enforcement to Chinook Winds policies, NIGC, Tribal policies, state compact, and Tribal gaming regulations
  • Investigates complaints from guests and employees and resolves issues ensuring compliance with policies
  • Coordinates all activities of the drop functions and maintains applicable documentation
  • Issues and receives sensitive items including locks, keys, cards, and dice while documenting inventory
  • Manages employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards and productivity
  • Trains employees in designated areas, monitors progress, and completes staff evaluations and development plans
