Morgan Stanley seeks a Director, Security - Executive Protection (EMEA) to lead day-to-day planning, operational oversight, and execution of executive protection services for senior leaders and Firm events across the UK and EMEA. This Director-level role in Security & Investigations develops security strategies for employees and facilities. The Corporate Services division enhances employee and client experiences while optimizing sourcing.

Lead end-to-end executive protection operations including close protection, secure transportation, residential security, and event protection aligned to risk profiles. Plan intelligence-led activities like advances, route assessments, contingency planning, and travel coordination. Manage teams and vendors with focus on recruitment, training, compliance, and service quality.

Act as operational lead during incidents, coordinating responses and after-action reviews. Partner with corporate intelligence, investigations, crisis teams, and law enforcement to monitor threats. Oversee governance, compliance, budgets, utilization, and operational metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience planning, overseeing, and executing executive protection operations within the UK and EMEA region
  • Ability to lead close protection, secure transportation, residential security, and event protection activities
  • Experience conducting threat assessments, protective advances, and travel risk planning
  • Capability to supervise and mentor executive protection personnel and contract agents
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers
  • Knowledge of UK legal and regulatory requirements applicable to executive protection operations
  • Ability to function as an operational lead during incidents and crisis situations
  • Experience managing operating expenses, tracking utilization, and supporting budget planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end executive protection operations across the UK and EMEA, including close protection, secure transportation, residential security, and event protection
  • Plan and execute intelligence-led protection activities, including advances, route and venue assessments, contingency planning, and coordination for UK and international travel
  • Manage and develop executive protection teams and vendors, setting performance standards, overseeing recruitment, training, licensing compliance, and service quality
  • Act as the operational lead during executive-related incidents, coordinating real-time decision making, executing response plans, and conducting after-action reviews
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders including corporate intelligence, investigations, crisis teams, and law enforcement to monitor threats and mitigate risks
  • Oversee governance, compliance, and financial management, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and Firm standards while managing budgets and operational metrics
