Join Our Team as a Security Officer! Officers perform duties in three main categories: patrolling the facility for the S&C Ridge Boulevard Industrial Campus, assignment to the Security Operations Center, and operating the security gatehouses.

When on patrol, officers focus on regulating traffic and parking conditions, preventing loss of property, providing an environment that ensures personal safety, and responding to emergency situations including medical, fire, hazardous material releases, and severe weather conditions.

When staffing the SOC, the officer’s responsibilities include monitoring all facility fire, building supervisory, high voltage supply, intrusion alarms and closed circuit video systems. They also weigh, stage and direct all commercial deliveries and shipments.

Duties of the gatehouse officer include monitoring vehicular, visitor and team member traffic, directing all shipping and receiving transports, screening contractors and issuing identification badges and parking permits.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or acceptable General Educational Development (GED); some college preferred.
  • Certified in the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting concise and factual incident reports.
  • Keen eye for detail and observation skills to document events accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Draft clear, accurate, and timely incident and daily field activity reports with keen attention to detail and factual documentation.
  • Patrol the facility to regulate traffic and parking, prevent loss of property, and ensure personal safety.
  • Respond to emergency situations including medical, fire, hazardous material releases, unauthorized entry, and severe weather conditions.
  • Monitor facility fire, building supervisory, high voltage supply, intrusion alarms and closed circuit video systems in the Security Operations Center.
  • Weigh, stage and direct all commercial deliveries and shipments while functioning as radio communications dispatcher.
  • Monitor vehicular, visitor and team member traffic at gatehouses, screen contractors, and issue identification badges and parking permits.
  • Maintain and log information on all commercial-related entrants and perform other duties as required.
