The Kith Security Guard is imperative in the daily functions of the store's retail operations. This part-time role based in the Miami Design District store ensures the safety of staff and customers through diligent monitoring of the sales floor and entrance(s).

Daily tasks include monitoring entrances, managing traffic, and checking employee coats and bags upon entry and exit. You also observe the sales floor for theft and fraud, and handle undesired conduct or violations of building policy. Crowd management outside the store is a key responsibility during peak hours.

You will work with the store management team and report to the Head of Security or General Manager during emergencies. The role supports both guests and team members in safety and crisis response situations. Compliance with city and state ordinances regarding crowds inside and outside the store is also required.

Requirements

Valid State Security Guard License/Certificate, or Guard Card is required.
0-3 years of experience in security.
1+ years in a Retail/Apparel environment.
Open and flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Effective communication with internal and external customers.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage crowds.
Ability to lift and move 25 lbs and perform standard retail tasks (bending, twisting, climbing).

Responsibilities

Monitor the entrance(s) of the store while managing traffic in and out.
Check employee coats and bags upon entry and exit.
Handle undesired conduct, violations of building policy, and civil laws for the safety of guests, employees, and property.
Observe the sales floor for potential theft and fraud.
Manage lines and crowds that form outside the store.
Assist with special projects including in-store product releases, managing and monitoring crowds before and during operating hours.
Support the store management team with housekeeping tasks including dusting, sweeping, and collection of trash.
