About this role
This part-time Security Officer position with Andy Frain Services provides security detail as outlined in post orders while establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Security personnel must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service.
Officers control entrances and pedestrian and vehicle traffic, patrol buildings and perimeters, and escort material and personnel. They also inspect security and fire exposures, monitor cameras or equipment continuously, and complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, and Incident Reports.
Officers work closely with a Security Supervisor, communicating daily about new security issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented. They must be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS.
This role offers the opportunity to make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes identified during daily routines. Officers also ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer and market.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Control entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Patrol buildings and perimeters, reporting any suspicious activity and investigating accidents and criminal acts.
- Escort material and personnel as needed.
- Inspect security and fire exposures, ensuring continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors.
- Monitor cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in post orders.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports, and all relevant reports related to job assignment.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Communicate daily with the Security Supervisor regarding any new security issues or changes.
