About this role

At eBay, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Security Manager to join our team. You will be the senior-most physical security leader responsible for protecting employees, assets and operations across India locations. Based in Bengaluru, this role reports to the APAC Regional Manager, Global Physical Security.

The CSM serves as the in-country authority on risk management, crisis leadership, and security program execution. This position defines and accomplishes the strategy for Physical Security in India while ensuring alignment with global standards. The role adapts to the local regulatory, geopolitical, and operational landscape.

You will deliver a scalable, high-performance security program that supports business growth and resilience. The position coordinates with global teams such as GSOC, Crisis Management, Investigations and Threat Management. It maintains cohesive relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.

Requirements

  • Experience as senior-most physical security leader for multi-site operations in India.
  • Proven ability to develop physical security strategy aligned to global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Strong background in risk and threat management including geopolitical, civil unrest, and natural disaster monitoring.
  • Demonstrated crisis and incident leadership with post-incident review and corrective action implementation.
  • Expertise in security operations and technology including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm monitoring.
  • Track record of vendor and guard force governance with contract oversight and metric-driven performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the India Physical Security strategy aligned to global security objectives and enterprise risk priorities.
  • Serve as the principal security advisor to India leadership and drive program maturity across all India offices.
  • Lead country-wide risk assessments, threat analysis, and vulnerability reviews while maintaining a dynamic country risk register.
  • Lead crisis response and incident management for all India operations and coordinate with global cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure standardized post orders, SOPs, and site security plans and conduct regular physical security audits and compliance reviews.
  • Own end-to-end vendor management including contract oversight, RFP processes, and performance evaluations with SLAs.
  • Partner with business functions such as Facilities, EHS&S, HR, Legal, IT, and Communications on security matters.
