The Security Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing security services within the hospital environment, ensuring the safety of premises, staff, patients, and visitors. This supervisory position requires a proactive approach to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access while upholding a professional and authoritative demeanor.

You will oversee and coordinate routine patrols of hospital buildings and grounds, utilizing surveillance equipment to detect potential threats. Lead crime prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and taking decisive action against security breaches. Supervise visitor management and access control to maintain secure zones.

The role involves leading emergency response coordination, ensuring rapid and effective handling of medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents. You will collaborate with hospital staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to enhance security efforts. Foster effective communication and support during critical situations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in security operations, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
  • Supervisory experience leading a security team.
  • Strong observational skills and ability to detect suspicious activity.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • Professional and authoritative demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold a code of conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate routine patrols of hospital buildings, facilities, and grounds to detect and deter potential security threats.
  • Lead crime prevention efforts to actively prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access by maintaining a visible and active presence.
  • Supervise monitoring of visitor conduct and direct the professional confrontation of unauthorized individuals for questioning.
  • Coordinate and lead prompt and effective responses to security and safety incidents, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches.
  • Oversee documentation of all security-related incidents and ensure preparation of accurate and detailed incident reports.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with hospital staff, law enforcement, and emergency services personnel to enhance security coordination.
  • Supervise monitoring of access points, identity verification, and enforcement of access control measures to maintain secure zones.
  • Provide leadership in maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all security-related matters.
