The officer works within the hospital's security team, requiring a thorough knowledge of the floor plan, including all normal and emergency entry and exit points. This role demands boldness and courage to deal with unruly visitors while maintaining excellent customer service skills and a desire to assist people.

This position offers the opportunity to develop advanced security skills in a healthcare setting, with the responsibility of protecting a critical community facility. The role requires physical capability, including the ability to run, climb stairs, carry emergency equipment, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1 year of Security Officer experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills and desire to assist people and provide protection
Alertness and excellent observation skills
Ability to take swift and efficient action in times of emergency
Boldness and courage to deal with unruly visitors
Thorough knowledge of the hospital floor plan including all normal and emergency entry and exit points
Ability to run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment

Responsibilities
