As Physical Security Specialist, you will oversee comprehensive physical security of locations and manage the supply chain of Official Secrets, from facility inspections to secure handling of classified materials. This maintains operational integrity against evolving threats.
Day-to-day, monitor security camera networks to identify anomalies, investigate alerts via hazard systems for rapid threat containment, and escort contractors and visitors. Manage incidents per alarm response matrix, monitor news for potential threats, and disseminate security updates internally. Perform health checks on cameras, sensors, and access controls while coordinating with emergency services.

Requirements
- Demonstrate extensive practical expertise in physical security guarding and incident management
- Apply strong technical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot complex security systems and access controls
- Communicate fluently in both German and English to coordinate with suppliers and teams
- Display thorough understanding of handling classified materials and Official Secrets
- Make sound, rapid decisions during high-pressure situations or emergencies
- Navigate complex regulatory and compliance frameworks related to physical security
Responsibilities
- Monitor security camera networks to identify and mitigate suspicious activities or anomalies
- Investigate and respond to alerts via hazard detection and alarm management systems
- Escort and supervise contractors, maintenance staff, and external visitors
- Manage incidents and escalate critical information per alarm response matrix
- Monitor global and local news to pre-empt potential security threats
- Monitor and manage access control systems to prevent unauthorised entry
- Coordinate with emergency services as central dispatch hub during crises
- Perform routine health checks on security infrastructure including cameras and sensors
